A 40-year-old nutritionist was walking with 10,000 stones in his gall bladder. Thanks to the doctors at the Medical College and Hospital, he is all well and good now. Dr.RajibChowdhuri, a resident of Dum Dum Cantonment came to the hospital with abdomen pain, when diagnosed; the doctors detected the stones by USG. He was admitted to the hospital on Monday. The doctors removed the stones through microsurgery on Wednesday.
It is not the first time that a patient has been diagnosed with so many stones in his gall bladder. Previously another patient was operated on who was diagnosed with 12,000 stones. According to the doctors, this happens because of high cholesterol and triglyceride levels. The operation took forty minutes but counting the stones, took way more time than that.
