West Bengal is proud to announce another textile hub in Nangi of South 24 Parganas, Maheshtala Block. Industry Minister Dr. Amit Mitra took the initiative to facilitate the prospects of the manufacturers and the traders.
The textile hub is coming up over an area of 9 lakh square feet. There will be a separate designing house, laboratories to smoothen the business efficiency of the industrialists.
Metiabruz in West Bengal has almost 30,000 artisans and entrepreneurs in their readymade garments hub. Both the organized and the non-organized sectors are working to get the productivity suited to the export standards. The concerned department is leaving no stone unturned to bring the entire unorganized sector under the canopy of the organized segment to get better marginal profits.
As per the sources, almost 5 lakh job opportunities in the apparel and the garment manufacturing sector has been generated in Bengal.
