The new Majherhat Bridge will be built like the Vidyasagar bridge. Nabanna has approved the design of new bridge. The Railways and the State Government will finalize the design and according to reports, the state government will spend additional 21 cr to build the new bridge.
The New Bridge is going to be built at a cost of 160 cr. The tender process for construction of the new bridge has been completed. A Punjab-based company has been selected for this project. The state government has finalized the process of constructing the bridge. Last month tenders from different companies were called by the government for the purpose of constructing the new bridge. On October 25, the Punjab-based company was chosen.
