Netaji Subhas Airport To Get Upgraded!!!

Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport would be undergoing a change in 2019, with Airports Authority of India (AAI) gearing up to upgrade the infrastructure. Starting with improved signages to the introduction of inline baggage X-Ray in the domestic wing and more trolleys. Passengers would no longer have to queue up in front of X-Ray baggage scanners and face extended checking procedure of scanning their baggage. Apart from the installation of one inline X-ray machine, the airport officials are now planning to install the new CTX (Computer Tomography X-Ray) machines at other portals. Scientifically and strategically placed signages inside the terminal will be guiding the flyer. The city airport is also set to receive 2000 more sets of new trolleys in the coming year as a part of 5000 trolley supply deal. Plans have also been going on to enhance the capacity and efficiency of Kolkata airport for the next 20 years.
