A decision has been taken by the Bengal forest department to reintroduce Nature Trail. The officials are planning to increase the number of safari vehicles for tourists in Buxa Tiger Reserve.According to the field director of the BTR, “Nature Trail will resume soonit will cover a distance of 2km in Buxa. It will start from Rajabhatkhawa, the gateway of Buxa Tiger Reserve and the forest guards will accompany the tourists”. Headded, “The Nature Trail was shut down for the last few years but it will be reintroduced soon," he added.Sengupta said that the decisions have been taken for the sake of the visitors.A Tourist Facilitation Centre will be opened in the future on premises of the Nature Interpretation Centre at Rajabhatkhawa. It will have facilities like a ticket counter, sitting area, washrooms and drinking water facility. A parking area would be restructured," said Sengupta.The officials of BTR are planning to renovate the orchidarium too at the Nature Interpretation Centre.
