Nation pays homage to Netaji on his birth anniversary

The nation is celebrating Netaji Subhash Chanda Bose’s 122nd birth anniversary on this day, 23rd January 2019. Like every year, this year too Netaji’s birthday is being celebrated with great honor by the people of this country including governmental and non-governmental organizations. His followers have proposed to celebrate his birthday as ‘Desh Prem Divas’ to re-memorize his great sacrifice for his motherland. Subhas was born on 23rd January 1897 to mother Prabhavati Devi and father Janakinath Bose in Cuttack, Orissa. His father was a well-established advocate. He was the ninth child of his parents among fourteen others. Subhash Chandra Bose happens to be a key figure in the history of India’s freedom struggle against the British. A person with strong dedication towards his nation, he never compromised or agreed to settle with the Britishers when it came to the freedom of the Indians. In spite of many difficulties and hurdles, he charted his own way towards India’s independence. The Netaji Research Bureau has launched a DVD on Netaji’s life for his birthday which narrates the story of his life. India pays homage to such a great leader of their nation on his birthday.
