The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is finally done with the designing of the Gaganyaan rocket. ISRO in an official statement reported that they have completed designing the rocket and it will be going through various tests. ISRO Chief K Sivan said, "The design and engineering of the launch vehicle and orbital module system for India's human space flight has been completed. A series of tests have to be completed to validate the design and engineering of the systems in 2020". The national space agency will conduct a series of tests in the orbital module system as well. The first unmanned flight by ISRO is scheduled to take place by the end of 2021, whereas the first manned spaceflight is expected to be launched in August of 2022 when India will be celebrating its 75th Independence Day. The space agency is also setting up a few small-satellite launch programmes for which it will set up India’s second rocket launch centre at Kulasekarapattinam in Tamil Nadu since launching small satellites from the existing launch centre in Sriharikota can take a toll on the regular scheduled launches at ISRO. ISRO chief also announced that the space agency will conduct the first flight of SSLV in a few months.
