It's that time of the year when we realized that the wind of Kolkata humming in musical notes. Kolkata is known for its musical knowledge and every nooks and corners of the city has the true rhythm in it. Well, it's that time of the year when the best of Bangla music is honoured where the stage is filled up with excellence and grandeur. Mirchi Music Award Bangla- holds the special place in everyone's heart and Kolkata witnessed the glamour and grandeur on 7th March 2018 evening.
The Journey:
The glamorous journey of Mirchi Music Award Bangla first instituted in 2011 and was held on February 2012. A resounding success from the very first year, 2018 witnessed its glamorous 7thedition with a grand success and lots of Mir's witty jokes. This award is the biggest and the only award function in eastern India that honours both artistic and technical professionals of Bengal film Industry. This year the award ceremony gifted its audience a collage of unforgettable moments. The show was hosted by Mir, Aparajita Addhya and Kanchan Mullick.
Mirchi Music Award- The Legacy:
To celebrate and felicitate music maestros of Indian Music, Mirchi 98.3 instituted this award in the year 2009. This award is presented annually by Radio Mirchi to honour both Technical and artistic excellence in music and has covered Hindi as well as Southern Edition in the year 2009. Even Music Mirchi Awards Punjabi has taken the world by storm since 2014.
The Grand 7th Edition of Mirch Music Award: Bangla
The 7th edition of Mirchi Music Awards Bangla was held at Nazrul Manch, Kolkata on 7th March, 2018.The entire process of judging is done through a secret ballot method handled by the renowned audit firm Ernst & Young.
