The Meteorological Department has predicted that the temperature of Kolkata will rise in the next few days. It seems that winter has left our city for this year and its time for spring to take over. The Meteorological Department says that the city will have sunny and warm mornings whereas the nights would be comparatively cold. G K Das, director, Regional Meteorological Centre, Kolkata said,
The north-westerly wind, which brings in the chill, has stopped breezing in and naturally the bite of cold will be missing. Instead, the wet easterly wind has started injecting moisture from the bay. This will continue for the next few days. As a result, the mercury will be rising and this trend will continue till Saturday.
The department in a release reported that the minimum temperature would rise and hover around 15 degrees Celsius and the maximum would touch 25 degrees Celsius.
