Manoj Bajpayee has added yet another feather to his cap. Manoj's stellar performance in Gali Guleiyan (In the Shadows) has won him the Best Actor Award at NY Indian Film Festival. Apart from this Gali Guleiyan has travelled to more than 15 International Film Festivals and won audience accolades and awards along the way. In addition, recently this film was screened at the prestigious 42nd Cleveland International Film Festival, the Indian Film Festival of Los Angles, Atlanta Film Festival and the New York Indian Film Festival.
Gali Guleiyan is a Hindi psychological drama about a man who is trapped within the walls and alleys of Old Delhi and his own mind, and who then attempts to break free to find a human connection. The extremely talented Manoj Bajpayee plays the main protagonist. Also, this film casts Ranvir Shorey, Neeraj Kabi and Shahana Goswami along with debutant child actor Om Singh.
Los Angeles-based debutant filmmaker Dipesh Jain praised Manoj’s stellar performance in the film. He said, “We consider ourselves blessed to have worked with an actor like him who embraces his character so seamlessly and makes it his own. Heartiest congratulations to him once again.” After winning the award, Manoj Bajpayee tweeted "गलीगुलीयां gets an honour at @nyindianff congratulations to the team of@GaliGuleiyan and the captain @dipeshjainfilm”.
