‘Manochetna’ believes and focuses to bring a change in every single child impaired with learning difficulties.

Every child deserves education and proper guidance so that even if they are differently abled they flourish in their individual lives. It is a harsh fact that the society has been treating these differently abled children differently .Only a few think about the development of these special children. One such organisation which supports and takes care of these special children is “Manovikas Kendra” founded by Dr Sharada Fatehpuria in the year 2005. The organisation started working on its REACH INDIA project in the 25 government-aided schools in South Kolkata.

She said : “My dreams will come true when we will witness Manochetna Academic and Research Centre create a ‘New World’ of inclusion for the Children with Learning Difficulties through remedial education and personalised attention”.

Thus to turn her dream into reality she made a team and started a wing named Manochetna Academic and Research Centre on 7th of September 2012 with a motto ‘NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND’.

teaching

The organisation deals with a large number of services like  a centre for Inclusive Education which offers Special Schooling facility together with Vocational training, especially for the ones who are not good in academics. The other significant service which the organisation thinks is the most important is the short Teacher Training Course. These training centres provide Human Resource Development programs and aim to empower the teachers in government as well as private schools. They have 100 teachers per year for training from the government-aided schools. This training is effective for all the teachers as they don’t believe in discrimination of any sort. And as the success of the organisation, the endless services are also reaching the district level. Moreover, the organisation has provided 500 children to the government schools under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, a scheme under the Indian Government to provide free and compulsory elementary education.

Lastly, the organisation has planned to honour The Teacher with A Heart Award to 20 teachers for their incredible efforts followed by panel discussion on 26th April 2018.The organisation believes that the relationship between a child and teacher is endearing. In fact, the teacher should possess a compassionate heart and positive attitude towards dealing with the children.
