Eight hundred students have a reason to rejoice because a new policy has been implemented by the central government which recognises a six-year modular technology course. This is will equivalent to a four-year BTech course. According to the officials of AICTE, the policy that has been formulated by the human resource development ministry would be important in deciding the future of some colleges. The authorities from different colleges who are planning to start six-year programmes will get the benefits from this new policy. The students of Ghani Khan Choudhury Institute of Engineering and Technology are not the only ones who will get the benefits.
