Fried Foods are very dear and near to us, for the texture, and taste its adds to our taste buds. However, after its preparations are complete, a huge amount of oil is wasted as the taste and flavor might merge with the next dish ruing the taste of the food. But there are plenty of uses for used vegetable oil, which keeps one away from wastage.
Used Soybean oil can be reused for making homemade soaps, which are very good for the skin, and works almost as similar as any other processed soap that we buy from the marketplace. For preparing homemade soaps, the most important ingredients are, 1 liter of used Soybean oil, 200 grams of caustic soda (NaOH), and 400 milliliters of warm water and 40 milliliters of softener for clothes.
At first, the vegetable oil is to be filtered well, separating the oil from all of its impurities for being used in cooking, while the 200 grams’ caustic soda is to be mixed with the 400 milliliters of water in a separate container. The mixture is to be made very cautiously as the soda will start reacting with the water, initially starting to boil and releasing toxic gases. The mixture is then added with the used oil, free of impurities, and needs to be stirred for 15 minutes with a wooden spoon until the entire mixture becomes consistent and then only the softener of clothes is to be added to bring the softness and of soap fragrance of soaps. The entire thing will be put to dry for 2 days until it becomes a bit whitish, the mixture needs to curate for 2 weeks at least, and then can be used for a soothing bath.
