‘MajheMajhe’ revisited

Recently the city celebrated the 157^th birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore. On this occasion, singer Aneek Dhar released a brand-new single. The song is a rendition of Tagore’s ‘MajheMajhe’ in his inimitable style. Aneek has worked with transgender professor Manabi Bandopadhyay for this project. He said that it is a tribute to Tagore and decodes the concept of ‘Ordhonarishwar’ as defined in ‘Chitrangada’. They have tried to portray that concept through this song. Aneek said that working with Manabi was very motivating.
