To get some respite from the hot and sticky summer of Kolkata people often escape to cooler destinations. Keeping all things in mind the Eastern Railways announced that they will add extra coaches in several long-distance trains. Many people plan family trips during the summers but they sometimes fail to execute them due to unavailability of seats in trains. The trains with additional coaches will run from 16th April to 1st July. Getting reservations or seat in off-seasons are also difficult sometimes; hence, getting seats during the summers which are a peak season is even harder.

After this move by the Eastern Railways, the Indian Railways also announced special trains on several routes to tackle the summertime rush so that the people can enjoy them to the fullest ignoring the sweltering heat.
