Little Europe in Bengals Colonial Past

The Portuguese phrase, "A beleza habita na histori" translates to ‘Beauty dwells in history’. Once we flip through the pages of history, we understand that Portuguese culture has its fair share of influence over Bengal. As per common belief, the English were not the only ones to set foot on the rich soil of Bengal. Traces of European colonies can still be found in Bengal’s colorful heritage and architecture as is evident in the cities along the river Hoogly.

In the midst of our fast paced stressful lives, nowadays when the idea of a perfect vacation revolves around planning and saving up for coveted Euro trips, we seem to forget the charm of little Europe in our own Bengal and the unique charm it exudes. We shortlisted a few of these places and serve to you as a dish for your eyes and soul through a tour of little Europe in humble Bengal.
