Kolkata to get mobile water ATMs

Mobile Water ATMs will soon move around the city and this will be possible because of the initiative taken by the Women Self-help Groups. According to reports, the Mobile Water ATMS will be installed in the six busiest places of Kolkata.Mobile water ATMs will be visible in the city streets from 29^th November because of J and S, Ayush Foundation and the Kolkata Municipal Corporation’s initiative.

Kolkata Municipal Corporation has taken several initiatives to make women self-reliant. Mayor council Swapan Samaddar (slum, slum, environment) stated, various training programmes are taking place to make women self-reliant. The canteen has already been made in collaboration with the voluntary organization of women and now the officials are planning to install water ATM.

A glass of filtered water will be available at Rs 6. At present water ATMs willbe available in front of Medical College, Park Street, Chandni Chowk and Esplanade Metro stations. Two mobile water ATMs will move around the New Market area. 1 litre of water will be available at Rs 5 and at Rs 8 for 2 litres.
