A biopic on legendary Indian revolutionary Khudiram Bose has been shelved, following a rift between the producer and the director. The film had a number of leading Bengali actors as part of the cast and crew. According to Industry report, the biopic was produced by Upendra Shrivastava with Amit Ghosh as the director. Nearly 85 percent of the film was already canned. Around six days of shooting was left of the film when production stopped.
Sagnik Chowdhury was playing Khudiram in the biopic and this was his first major appearance on silver screen. The actor had earlier appeared in films like Rituparna Ghosh’s “Dosar” (2006) and Aparna Sen’s “The Japanese Wife” (2010) and many more. Sources claimed that another director was willing to complete the project but the producer seems to have lost interest.
