‘Crisscross’ is finally nearing completion. We have seen Jaya portraying calm and composed wife in Arindam Sil's ‘Aborto’ but in ‘Crisscross’ she has come up with a different tone to her character. She is now an elitist and a snobbish businessperson. This role was offered to Jaya after Swastika rejected the role.
Jaya Ahsan is glad to take up the challenge because the character she is having to portray is contrary to her naturalistic approach. Moreover, Kolkata and the Bengali film industry are happier this time because she spent Nabobarsho for the first time in Kolkata.
