Jaya Ahsan celebrates her First Nabobarsho in Kolkata

Jaya Ahsan, who is terribly tied up with her shooting schedule is now in Kolkata this Bengali New Year. This was her first Nabobarsho in the city of joy. Though she was missing her friends and family in Bangladesh yet this was an entirely new experience for her. She feels that Mongol Shobha Jatra procession from Dhaka’s Charukala Institute is something everyone should take a look once in a lifetime.

Jaya receives countless gifts every year but this year in her absence, her only domestic help will take care of all her gifts. To her, Bangladesh is far more secular than any other countries of the world. She believes in the tradition of ‘halkhata’ and she, along with her sister takes joy in collecting the calendars and sweets from the shops.

Jaya takes food in earthen utensils at home and her mom makes not less than 20 food items on this particular day. The cooking style for the two countries are very unalike but Nabobarsho is unquestionably the time when both the flanks of the border tie the knot with each other to cherish a fantabulous occasion.
