After the grand success of Durga Puja carnival on red road, the state government will take same initiative for Jagadarthi idol immersion in Chandan Nagar. Ministry of finance got a sanction application for 53 lakhs as a budget of the carnival.
According to the sources as soon as the application gets approval, the government will start all the elementary procedure related to the carnival but the rough cast will finalize after the chief minister returns from the north-Bengal trip.
Just like Durga Puja, Jagadarthi puja is also an age-old festival in Hoogly and Chandan Nagar, famous for its lighting arrangements. People from around the state come to Chandan Nagar to see those mesmerizing idol along with the lighting.
Chairman of the Central Puja Committee, Manab Das confessed to the source that they are not notified by the government but if any step has been taken then they will welcome it gladly.
