International Fish Fair will soon take place in Belgachia, Kolkata. The venue has already been decided and it will be West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences. Something like this is happening for the first time in the state. There will be thousands of fish preparations for the food enthusiasts. There will be discussions on the method of fish farming, technology and trade abroad. The officials will also try to highlight areas like business and employment opportunities.
The Bengalis are emotionally attached to any kind of fish. 'Indian Meat Science Association' is collaborating with 'National Fisheries Development Board’ in this work and some delegates from countries like Britain, Bangladesh, New Zealand, Malaysia and Australia are attending the three-day fair starting from November 22 in the university premises at Belgachia.
