Indian wrestler Raunak Dahiya Secures Bronze at Under-17 World Championship

India has secured a bronze medal in the Under-17 World Championship. Indian wrestler Raunak Dahiya made the nation proud with this achievement.

The Under-17 World Championship tournament is being held in Amman, Jordan. Raunak defeated Turkey’s wrestler Emrullah Capkan by 6-1 points and won the bronze medal in the 110 kg Greco-Roman category.

However, Raunak's journey to the tournament final was not easy. Raunak lost to Hungary's Zoltán Csákó in the semifinal. But he learned from that loss and claimed victory in the bronze medal match.

Raunak currently holds the sixth rank in the world in his category. Last year, he won a silver medal in this tournament. Earlier this year, Aman Sherawat won a bronze medal in wrestling at the Paris Olympics. Raunak is following in his footsteps.

It is worth mentioning that wrestler Sainath Pardhi is also in this race. The first opponent Sainath Pardhi will face is Dominic Michael Munaretto of the United States. If he wins, he will compete for the bronze medal, where his opponent could be either Armenia's Sargis Harutyunyan or Georgia's Yuri Shapiz.
