Indian Physically Challenged Cricket Team (Disable Sporting Society) beats Singapore Cricket Club in Singapore by 2-1 under the Captaincy of Suvro Joarder in Sir Alan Border Trophy.
A team of 15 players under the Captaincy of Suvro Joarder along with ECO Rashid Khan, Secretary Harron Rashid and support staffs moved to Singapore on 24th May morning. A Grand conference in Mumbai was held to boost up the team.
Mr. Mahindra Amarnath, Hiten Tejwani, Sachin jhosi graced the press conference. An outstanding welcome was given to them by the TCS Singapore along with their country head and Dene Boarder (son of Sir Alan Border)
The 1st match was won by India team by 8 wickets. The 2nd match was also won by India by 7 wickets. In order to boost them up Brad Hoog and Michel Kaspovize along with 2 Aussie stars were present over there. Moreover, they shared their valuable cricketing skills with the team.
India team offered a lot of eye-catching performances in the said tournament. Starting with the Captain Suvro Joarder and the best Finisher with an average more than 100, Nishant Upadhyay and Gulamdeen with all-around performance and Mahantesh with ball and Bhowmik with the bat; all of them are worth mentioning. Playing in Singapore was a great experience for the entire team.
Brad Hoog and Michel Kaspovize were very impressed with skills of the India team Cricketer and they also shared a lot of tips to improve themselves. Singapore Cricket Club along with TCS also assured that tournament will happen every year from now on to strengthen the understanding between India and Singapore.
