North 24 Parganas is the most populous among all the districts in West Bengal. It has a total population of 10,009,781. However, South Dinajpur is the lowest-population district in West Bengal. South Dinajpur’s total population is 1,676,276. Thane district in Maharashtra ranks first among India's most populous districts, followed by North 24 Parganas in second place.
