Bangladesh film festival aims to generate awareness of films from their world and create the right ambiance for both of the film industry, where the films can be enjoyed by the critics and audience. Bringing both the world together. The film fraternity of both the country supports the initiative which will pave the way towards excellence of the motion picture art and industry.
Previously press meet of 2nd Bangladesh Film Festival was held at press club and following up that event, the inauguration ceremony of 2nd BFF (Bangladesh Film Festival) was held at Nandan. As a part of the festival, selected 21 films will be showcased at Nandan-1, 3 and Nazrul Tirtha. The event was graced by Janab Dr Hassan. Mahmud (MP) Minister of Information Ministry of Bangladesh Government. Minister of Tourism West Bengal Gautam Deb, Special guest Riva Ganguly Das (Head of ICCR) and filmmaker Gautam Ghosh, actor Jaya Ahsan and Ferdous. The Film festival will start from 16th – 18th February 2019.
Films like ‘Guerilla’ and ‘Chitra Nodir Paare’ will be screened for the second time on special request. Apart from these films, new releases like ‘Dahan’ and ‘Putra’ will be screened. ‘Aamder Bongobondhu’ was screened at Nandan as the inaugural film.
