Filmmaker Suman Mukhopadhyay’s documentary-feature on an interesting subject was screened at Alliance Francaise du Bengale, Kolkata on 20th June. Titled as ‘Kolkata 2070’, the film revolved around an idea- what happens if the city gets drowned under water by 2070!
The documentary aimed at spreading the awareness- ‘West Bengal need to save water and they need to be prepared for every possible hurdle which can lash upon them anytime’. It warns that if action is not taken in time, the citizens may suffer in future. The film opened with a scene of the metropolis submerged in water, in a dystopian future.
