All Kolkatans are eagerly waiting for the Puja. Like others, even Tollywood diva Paoli Dam is waiting with bated breath for it.
After taking a break from her busy shooting schedule, she is ready to proceed. Of course, she is well aware of the fact that it's a fun journey ahead.
Paoli disclosed that she is keenly waiting for the day when Ma Durga will descend to Earth. She specified that for her, it's the celebration of Stree Shakti and if we trust her, she can feel the power within. In fact, Durga Puja has always been very special to her as it brings her close to her roots. Although she resides in Mumbai due to her professional commitments, she never misses Pujas. She even admitted that Puja shopping is something she looks forward to every year, as the fragrance of new clothes induces a great sense of joy.
Specifically, from curtains to nail polish, Paoli prefers every thing new during the festival. She claimed that Ma takes care of her Puja shopping and she still has the feeling of a child. She eagerly waits to see what saris and kurtas she has bought for her. Particularly, there are times when she is away for work in Mumbai and right now she is visiting a shop which is displaying at least hundred saris before her. Over the phone they decide on which sari to purchase.
Very few people know that this year, Paoli has shifted to her new house and more household stuff dominated than clothes in her Puja shopping list. She has already managed to buy a lamp shade, gadgets, upholstery and the list continues. She admitted that she has her eyes on two of Ma's latest saris and she knows about it.
Amazingly, Paoli is a kitchen queen and successfully spends hours going through a cook book. The actress expressed that she loves to cook and experiment with spices. Generally, she doesn’t go out for pandal-hopping before midnight, so any one of the Puja days, she stirs up dishes and invites her friends over for an adda over dinner.
What will be her anjali wear? Any guess? Well! It will be a traditional sari made up of tant. Interestingly, when Dida gifted this red-and-white sari to Ma, she immediately seized it.
The beautiful damsel revealed with a smile that she has shifted to Mumbai and is learning to manage without her team. Hence, she invested in this makeup box and feels proud of the luxury beauty items. Actually, this is her Puja gift to herself.
No doubt, Paoli is all set to stun her parents with her culinary expertise in this Puja. Notably, jute silk along with block prints is Paoli's favorite. The pretty actress informed that she is going to team it up with a body suit to make it look gorgeous. Precisely, this is her Saptami attire, as she assembles with her school friends for dinner on that day.
Subsequently, Paoli exhibited a black-and-white lamp shade from Mumbai, which is her recent pick. She remarked that when she saw it, she knew that it was perfect for her living room, which shares the same color combination. In fact, she is highly interested on purchasing more knick-knacks.
