On the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, the "Festival of Sacrifice" the city celebrated with great joy! The biggest parish of the faithful was held at the Indira Gandhi Sarani formerly Red Road with over 25,000 people attending the special prayer.
Prayers were also offered at Nakhoda Masjid, Tipu Sultan Masjid, Kalighat Ground, Khidderpore, Rajabazar, and Park Circus.
Religious and cultural programmes were organized by various organizations around Kolkata. This festival of sacrifice was celebrated with great devotion and love all around the city.
Food stalls selling Sewaiyaan were being set up around Masjids and sweets were distributed among the Namazis.
