Mudar Pathreya, has taken a beautiful initiative to make people revisit the heritage of Calcutta, through art !!
His first step was to paint a Mickey Mouse on an electricity box, since then he has started a journey to transform all the electricity boxes of the city!
Not only it is a colorful feast for the eyes, Pathreya also plans on to impart lessons of history through his artworks.
Santosh Das and Ranjit Das are the two artists, who are giving the city a brand new artsy look. Although they dont have formal art training, they have an eye, and creativity for art!
The boxes are based on personalities who are related with the certain area, for example, in southend park, the electricity box is painted with the mural of, Fossil frontman, Rupam Islam.
Partho Roy, one of the team member says,"Eventually we want to propagate this form of art throughout Kolkata, and then hopefully, to all of India,”
