Nissan Motor India celebrated this year’s Poila Boishakh uniquely by organizing the country’s first-ever ‘Heritage Night Drive’. The event featured participation from Nissan Magnite women customers and their family members.
The initiative highlighted Nissan Motor India’s commitment to women's empowerment. More than 70 women, for whom the Nissan Magnite is a constant companion, joined the event along with their families. On the occasion of the Bengali New Year, they experienced a memorable drive through the historic and culturally rich city of Kolkata.
The journey began at the Mandarin Hall of Taj Bengal. From there, a convoy of 25 Nissan Magnite SUVs set off towards several iconic city landmarks. The list included Victoria Memorial, Prinsep Ghat Park, Eden Gardens, Park Street, and other heritage sites. Renowned heritage expert and historian Tuhina Chatterjee accompanied the convoy.
Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director, of Nissan Motor India, said, “At Nissan Motor India, we believe in creating memorable brand experiences that go beyond the drive. This unique and first-of-its-kind ‘Heritage Night Drive’ is a tribute to the empowered and resilient women who are redefining the Indian auto landscape.”
On that day, participants received training on modern driving techniques from professional instructors. In addition, each participant was awarded a certificate from Nissan as a memento of the event. The customers expressed their happiness and appreciation for this innovative initiative.
