One of the private hospitals in Kolkata witnessed the first heart transplant in the state. The donor is from Bengaluru, who faced an accident and doctors stated him brain dead. As it was predestined, the 39-year-old man, Dilchand Singh, was suffering from heart muscle disease. He was in search of a new human heart and destiny helped him trace the donor.
The time limit of the organ was up to four hours but in this transplant case, the doctors have reported that time exceeded to more than four hours. This shows or rather proves that time can be pushed if required in future.
The organ was brought from Bengaluru to Kolkata in a flight with all the necessary requirements.
