Director Sayantan Ghosal is all set to hit the big screen next month with his new adventure drama 'Alinagarer Golokdhadha'.
This young director had earlier adapted popular Bengali novelist Hemendra Kumar Roy's ‘Jokher Dhon’ in a modern retelling. The plot of the movie was quite strong but it failed to impress the audience and received a lukewarm box-office response.
However, the director is now ready with his next film 'Alinagarer Golokdhadha' and he reportedly ensured that this movie contains several historical facts. The treasure hunt film is about finding a long-lost treasure with a high historical value. It will surely be a brain-twisting plot with lots of historical facts, riddles, and much more.
Sayantan stated the movie would throw light on the lesser-known historical facts in and around Kolkata. Major portion of the movie was shot in Nimtita Rajbari to give the movie a rich classical flavour.
Actor Anirban Bhattacharya and Parno Mitra are in the lead, where Anirban plays the role of a history student and Parno will be the granddaughter of a zamindar family. Actor Kaushik Sen will play a pivotal role in the film.
The movie is set to release on April 20, 2018.
