Netaji Birth Place Museum in Cuttack has added another gallery in the museum. Cuttack is the birthplace of Netaji and the new gallery is about Netaji Subhas and his connection with Odisha. The move has been greatly appreciated by all. The gallery will have photos from Netaji’s school life there in Cuttack and articles used by him at that time. There will also be photos of his teachers and friends.
The museum has recreated the room Netaji was born in, which opens only on his birth anniversary and a yagna is performed. In addition to the new gallery there were eleven more attractions which includes, the study-cum-working room of Janakinath Bose, Netaji’s early life, prison life, political life, National Bank of Azad Hind, Indian National Army, Provisional Government of Azad Hind, Azad Hind Radio, birth room of Netaji, Netaji’s family life and the latest addition; Netaji Subhas and Odisha. The curator of the museum said that there are plans for expanding the museum further in the future and get more items for display.
