Force Motors has officially launched the 5-door version of its iconic Force Gurkha, catering to the desires of car enthusiasts. Sporting a dual-tone colour scheme, this vehicle boasts a 7-seater layout with a captain's seat available in the third row, offering both comfort and style reminiscent of its 3-door predecessor.
Retaining the rugged design of its predecessor, the new Force Gurkha comes equipped with notable enhancements. The engine capacity remains unchanged, but its power output has been significantly upgraded, ensuring robust performance on and off the road.
Pricing details for both the 3-door and 5-door models have been revealed by the company. The base model of the 5-door variant starts at ₹18 lakhs, while the 3-door model is priced at ₹16.75 lakhs (ex-showroom).
The exterior of the 5-door Force Gurkha features a boxy SUV design with two circular LED headlights adorning the front. Additionally, it rides on new 18-inch alloy wheels, enhancing its overall stance. The rear end is accentuated by a roof-mounted spare wheel and LED tail lights, adding to its adventurous appeal.
Inside the cabin, the Force Gurkha offers an unchanged dashboard layout, complemented by premium features such as roof-mounted AC, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay connectivity, and a digital driver display. Power windows are available on all four doors, with the front windows being powered in the 3-door model. Furthermore, panoramic windows provide a scenic view for passengers.
Safety features abound in the new Force Gurkha, making it a formidable competitor in its segment. Dual front airbags, electronic brake distribution, an anti-lock braking system, and a tyre pressure monitoring system ensure a secure driving experience.
Both the 5-door and 3-door variants will offer a 4x4 drivetrain, powered by a 2.6-litre diesel engine generating a maximum power of 140 PS and 320 Nm of torque. A 5-speed manual gearbox comes standard, along with a factory-fitted snorkel for enhanced water wading capabilities.
With its formidable performance and robust features, the 5-door Force Gurkha sets a new standard in the off-road SUV segment, challenging competitors like the Maruti Jimny and Mahindra Thar. But Mahindra's Thar was not launched. August 15th is the debut of the new Thar.
