Very few people know that Tollywood diva Srabanti used to fly kites with her father and sister as a kid.
The Bong beauty tweeted today morning that "Chotobalar kotha mone pore jachhe, ami,Didi r baba ajker din e ghuri oratam...hebbyyyy moja hoto."
In fact, for Srabanti, Vishwakarma Puja is the day when she forgets all about her celebrity status and lets loose all her inhibitions. Certainly, this is because the actress grew up celebrating this day with her family drowned in the fun of kite flying.
The beautiful actress recollected that the flying kites used to be the activity that marked this auspicious day for her. She, her father and her sister would make kites and complete with latai-manja. They used to go up on the terrace to participate in the para kite-fight. It was a ritual in which girls used to compete with the boys in kite flying. In addition, Srabanti shared how her father used to be an expert in flying kites. She revealed that that skill has been passed onto her son.
While sharing her experiences from childhood, she narrated that she would rush up the stairs to the terrace of her neighbors' places and scream her lungs out during kite flying. She remembered that rice and mutton curry was mandatory on this day.
Unfortunately, today the weather spoiled the experience for her. She admitted in a lamenting voice that it began raining today morning. She almost felt like crying. In fact, she missed all the fun this year.
