On 29th April 2018, the final match of ‘Yo Cup’ under 14 All Bengal Cricket Tournament was organized at Vivekananda Park (North East) followed by the prize distribution ceremony.
Janab Firhad Hakim (MIC, MA and UD), Sri Sovandeb Chatterjee (Hon. Minister of Power), Sri Kartick Banerjee (Convenor, Bibek), Abir Chatterjee, Soumili Ghosh Biswas, Sri Laxmi Ratan Shukla (Sports Minister), Sourashish Lahiri and many others enjoyed the final match. Many eminent personalities supported the noble initiative by Mainland Sambaran Cricket Academy as he concentrated on promoting new talent. He personally believes that the number of cricketers produced for Bengal judges the success of any cricket-coaching center in Bengal. Therefore, he has offered all sorts of infrastructure for the best possible development of starters.
“This is not the time to waste on Facebook and WhatsApp. Concentrate on what you are doing. Respect the labour of your parent. People only see the success; they never judge how you got the success. Therefore, it is your duty to show them that you can do it,” said Janab Firhad Hakim.
“I want more budding talents to come up for Bengal so that we can cherish the cricket as a whole. As Sambaran Da stays in the field and offers coaching to you all, it is now your duty to make the most out of it,” said Sri Laxmi Ratan Shukla, the right-handed middle-order batsman, and a right-arm medium-pace bowler.
The winning team was highly applauded but the best part of ‘Yo Cup’ under 14 All Bengal Cricket Tournament was that the runners-upteam was more encouraged for improved performance in their coming days.
