On 21st March, Dev, Rukmini and director Aniket Chattopadhyay were present at the trailer launch of ‘Kabir’ in Priya Cinema Hall. Presence of Dev set his fans pulses racing in and around the movie hall and everyone was thrilled to be able to see the superstar of the eagerly awaited movie of Poila Baisakh…‘Kabir’.
Rukmini Maitra was looking her usual stunning self and she is now the talk of the town for ‘Kabir’. “It was challenging to portray such a tough character but Aniket Da and Dev helped me through it. The scenes were shot with great care and all were momentary. A single mistake could have destroyed the entire take but blissfully I carried it out well” said Rukmini.
Aniket Chattopadhyay is elated to have found a producer like Dev because he feels that when no one was ready to produce this kind of movie, Dev was the only person who encouraged him without thinking of the budget. Even a coach of a train was hired to shoot a few scenes. “Very few producers would have done that especially in Bengali film industry” said Aniket Chattopadhyay.
Dev believes in maintaining a religion that doesn’t kill humans and humanity on the whole. He discourses equality and it is the only thing he has tried to focus on in his film “Kabir”.
The trailer was composed of hard hitting dialogues along with stunning visuals and dramatic elements by Dev and Rukmini. Overall, the trailer of the movie gave us more than enough reasons to go and watch the movie this Bengali New Year.
