The Aadhaar card is the most authentic identification proof which is used for identification in banks, public distribution systems, telecom companies, income tax, etc.
The UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) has introduced face identification for Aadhaar card along with iris and fingerprint scan. There are people who are unable to give fingerprint due to worn out fingers or old age at the same time there are people who suffer from eye problems. Hence, the face identification would be authentic enough to deal with such issues.
The encryption of the face identification Aadhaar card is so strong that it will takes ages to break it. The face authentication shall become active from the 1st of July 2018 as said by Ajay Bhushan who is the CEO of UIDAI in a presentation named ‘1 billion+’.
The CEO of the UIDAI even said that 1,696.38 crore authentications have already taken place along with 464.85 crore KYC transactions.
