Indian Election Commission has already started the preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. Election Commission has directed the officials from each district to start the EVM (Electronic Voting Machine) examination. As many as 5000 EVMs have already been examined, various experts from Bangalore are examining the EVMs. Some officials of the Upper Division Clerk of the Department of the District Office are also working on this EVM examination.
According to the District Administration source, the booth level officers (BLO) have been ordered to go to the respective houses to get the names of new voters. The Election Commission has already directed the different district officials to put more emphasis on the names of new voters. The booth level officers will visit the homes accordingly.
