Ek-Tha Villain released on 27th June 2014. Directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Ekta Kapoor, the film starred Sidharth Malhotra in the lead role. After Ek-Tha Villain, Ekta Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra did not collaborate for any ventures. After four years; the duo is coming back to hit the big screen hard with a unique script which they have named ‘Shotgun Shaadi’.
Ekta Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra’s upcoming collaboration is not a typical lovey dovey story. The storyline for Ekta Kapoor’s film ‘Shotgun Shaadi’ is based on the ritual of groom-kidnapping which is predominant in Bihar.
Sidharth Malhotra portrays the role of the goon who abducts probable grooms and forcefully makes them get married. The actor has already started taking classes to attain fluency as the film requires proper Bihari diction.
The shoot for the film ‘Shotgun Shaadi’ shall take off in a couple of months.
