Netaji statue unveiled at West Bengal Naval headquarters

An eight feet bronze statue of National hero Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose (‘Netaji’) was unveiled at the Navy headquarters of West Bengal on 10th September. 

Vice Admiral HCS Bisht unveiled the bronze statue in the presence of Prof. Krishna Bose (Netaji’s niece-in-law and chairperson of Netaji Research Bureau).

Admiral Bisht described Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose as a daring patriot while explaining Netaji’s connection to maritime. He said that Netaji travelled from Germany to East Asia by submarine and that he even switched submarines in the high seas during his journey.

Bisht further added that Netaji had a vision for creating equal opportunities for the downtrodden, communalism and providing of equal opportunity to everyone.
