As the winter holiday season grips the nation, Puri becomes a hotspot for travellers seeking seaside retreats. However, securing a ticket during this time can be challenging. Fear not, as East Rail brings a colossal piece of news for these eager explorers!
According to Kaushik Mitra, the official spokesperson for East Rail, a special vande bharat train service is now operational to cater specifically to travel enthusiasts heading to Puri. This exclusive service, aptly named the ‘Howrah-Puri Vande Bharat Special’, aims to accommodate a multitude of passengers with a travel itch.
Commencing on January 11th and continuing until January 25th, every Thursday, this special train will embark on its journey from Howrah to Puri and back. Notably, on the 11th, 18th, and 25th of the month, a three-day special train will depart from Howrah at 6:10 AM, reaching Puri by 12:00 PM, and returning the same day at 1:50 PM, arriving in Howrah at 8:30 PM.
This special train doesn't limit itself to Puri alone. With halts at several picturesque destinations between Howrah and Puri, including Kharagpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur Kheonjhar, Cuttack, Bhubaneshwar, and Khurda Road stations, passengers can explore multiple tourist spots on their journey.
The train boasts 6,768 seats, including 12 air-conditioned chair cars and 2 executive chair cars. Tickets for this exclusive travel experience can be booked through both PRS counters and online platforms.
