Do You Still Believe in These Superstitions?

There was a time when India was synonymous to superstition but things have changed drastically with time. The superstitions get carried forward by generations and most of the time without even questioning the authenticity. Let us know a few such superstitions that are extremely ridiculous.

1. Most of us put deep kajal on baby’s eyes to keep evil away but scientifically speaking, this can harm baby’s eyesight.
2. We all know that breast milk is good for baby’s health but you must know that breastmilk cannot cure any kind of ear infection. The sugar content in breast milk can actually hamper the proper functioning of the ear.
3. Cut the nails of the babies whenever you find it too long or not maintained properly. You need not wait till next morning to get it done.
4. Try and understand that polio vaccination is important. This cannot lead anyone to sterility or impotency.
5. Most of the old school people suggest feedingthe runny water of boiled pulses when the babies start taking solid foods. Unfortunately, this has no nutritional value. Feed them with something alternative like mashed dal.
