Visiting a museum is usually the last thing on anyone's mind. While some say that ‘only-nerds-visit’ the museum, others feel walking inside a museum is just too banal an experience for them. However, the ‘Museo Subacuático de Arte’, located off the coast of Isla Mujeres in Mexico's Riviera Maya has something special to offer.
Imagine if you could have dived and found sculpted figures in the turquoise waters of the Mexican Caribbean. How would that be?
Well, this museum officially started in 2009, with three sculptures created by the famous sculptors - Jason De Caires (who is also the artistic director of the museum), who also designed the first underwater sculpture garden in the Lesser Antilles.
