Winters and picnics go hand in glove for Bengalis. A nearby place that has a day return possibility is something Bengalis need. One of such destinations is Deulti.
Deulti is just 48-50kms away from Kolkata. It has amazing resorts where one can rest, go for a swim or can just sit in the open while enjoying food and drinks.
Deulti is a perfect getaway from the bustling urban to rural life. The serene atmosphere is the best part of about the place. Deulti is just 6kms towards the western part of Bagnan.
How to reach: Reaching Deulti from Kolkata is fairly simple. One may drive to Deulti simply by crossing the second Hoogly Bridge, popularly known as Vidyasagar Setu and drive straight along the NH6 highway. After crossing Panchla, Kulgachhia, Chandpur and Bagnan comes the Deulti crossing. Other than that there are trains to Deulti as well.
Lodging and Food: There are several resorts and hotels available at different price points where food is easily available. In winter though, rates of hotels or lodges might be on the steeper side. One should ideally bargain for rates.
