Religion is the one sphere of life no devotees would like to compromise with. TheDakhineshwar Temple remains one of the most visited places by devotees, be it summers, monsoon, winters or any other time, nothing stops the devotees from visiting the temple.
During summers, it gets extremely tough to queue up in the scorching heat! The devotees stand barefoot on the ground which gets tremendously hot, resulting in painful boils under the feet.
To reduce the pain of the devotees the Dakhineshwar Temple Committee has decided to paint the ground with a special paint called ‘Super Chlorinated Rubber Finish’, a ‘White Paint’, which gives a cooling effect to the feet!
However, the Dakhineshwar ground is huge and to paint the entire ground, around 250 litres of such paint shall be required. This kind of paint is used in temples in the Northern part of our country. The paint shall cover the entire area, including Ramakrishna Dev’s bedroom as well as the line of Shiva temples on the Ganges.
Devotees, now you can visit the temple without having the fear of getting boils under your feet.
