Crematorium for pets? Yes, very soon Kolkata shall have its first ever crematorium for pets. After Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru and Delhi, Kolkata is all set to get its first pet crematorium established.
The electric crematorium is to be established in Pramodnagar which falls under the Dum-Dum Municipal Corporation. The officials responsible for the construction of the crematorium say that the work shall finish soon.
Rupees two and a half crore has been sanctioned for the project. MLA, Bratya Basu, is the main person behind such an initiative. The crematorium shall be facilitated not just for residents of South Dum Dum but to everyone living nearby. Even stray animals that die on the road shall be cremated here.
Kolkata is indeed a city with compassion for all.
