Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations has recently released its exam schedule for ICSE (Indian Certificate of Secondary Education) and ISC (Indian School Certificate) examinations. The council has uploaded the detailed exam schedule break-up on its careers portal which can be accessed by the principals of the schools affiliated to the council. The ICSE examination is scheduled to begin from February 27th and the ISC will commence on February 3. The class X exams (ICSE) will start with English paper 1, and end with biology (science paper 3) on March 30. On the other hand, the class XII exams (ISC) will start with home science (paper 2, planning session) practicals and the theory papers are to begin from February 11 with accounts. The ISC will get over on March 31. After the announcement of dates, schools downloaded the schedule and circulated among the department heads. In some schools whose classes were on students were made aware about the examination dates. Some teachers are quite satisfied with the examination dates since there are substantial gaps between each examination this time and they feel that it will help the students with their revision. According to the council’s circular, students will be given 15 minutes of extra time to read the question paper in addition to the time indicated on the sheet for writing the paper. The question papers will be distributed to candidates at 10:45 am and they will be allowed to start writing at 11:00 am.
