The temperature in the city is expected to climb up in the next few days. The cold wave condition may continue to sweep through South Bengal due to the impact of the north-westerly wind in the state. According to the prediction of the Regional Meteorological Centre at Alipore informed that there might be a marginal rise in temperature in the city.
The lowest temperature in the city was 12.8 degree Celsius. However, the lowest temperature has remained below normal for the past 19 days in the city. At some place’s temperature dropped below 5 degree Celsius. Cold wave will prevail in some South Bengal districts including Bankura, West Midnapore, Birbhum.
